COOL Cuisine: Planet-Friendly Feast Series 2024

A five-month series of planet-friendly* feasts at five Davis restaurants hosted by COOL Cuisine. Join in at communal, sustainable meals with a wide range of international flavors.

Many people are not aware of the possibilities to dine high on flavor and low on the food chain in local restaurants, so COOL Cuisine has organized this series.

At these events, guests sit at tables together, so everyone gets a chance to meet new people. To attend an event you must register in advance to have a seat saved for you. (Those registered are expected to attend.) The price points are varied so there is something that meets most people’s budget.

Register on Eventbrite for each date. Guests are encouraged to bring cash so it is easy to settle the check with a minimum of credit cards. The meals are arranged with a soft drink, tax & tip included, and most of the restaurants have a bar from which you can order a drink by opening a tab.

OCTOBER – PREETHI INDIAN CUISINE, 6:30pm  Tuesday, 10/22, |  $25 for buffet with more than 20 items to try! Includes a soft drink, tax and tip. Cash preferred, one card per table of 4. Beer & wine extra.

NOVEMBER – RED NOODLE 88, Thursday, 11/14, 6:30pm  |  $30 per person | Prix fixe meal includes family style selection of featured dishes, non-alcoholic drink, tax and tip. Dine together, pay separately. Cash bar with individual tab.

DECEMBER – TAFFACH ETHIOPIAN, Thursday, 12/12, 6:30pm (New restaurant!!)  | $28 per person |  Embrace 8 different dishes served family style on shared injera combo platters, price includes soft drink, tax, & tip.
