Volunteer with Cool Davis

Volunteer with Us! Internships Available!

Cool Davis wouldn’t exist without volunteers from retirees to university and high school interns. Our volunteers have created five spectacular festivals, engaged thousands of Davis residents in cutting emissions, and led Davis to be declared California’s ‘Coolest City.’

As we move forward, we have even more ambitious plans to engage our entire community! So if you have just a few hours a month or a few hours a week, please sign up! Fill out the volunteer form below.

Cool Homes Outreach – Help reach out to new households by tabling at the Farmers Market, and at other locations and events. Receive special training and provide support for households, deliver neighborhood workshops and families making change.  Get involved in educational programs and providing resources for specific household actions to support our network of Cool Homes.  Do you have special expertise to share? Become a mentor or trainer for our Ambassadors program.

Coalition and Partner Outreach – The Cool Davis Coalition is 80+ partners and growing strong. Cool Davis’s goal is that every organization in the City of Davis become a Cool Davis partner. Help with the outreach, convening and hospitality for quarterly Coalition meetings. Join our Partner coalition and partner outreach team and help us reach our goals!

Communications – Our Communications Team is made up of writers, editors, web assistants, social media specialists, and content managers who give a little of their precious time each week or month. We are always looking for additional members. Our team is in need of talented and dynamic folks willing to learn and able to commit to helping implement a cohesive communications presence.

Data & Tech Management – On the path to carbon neutrality its important to measure what we accomplish. Whether its donations, volunteer hours, household actions or organization data — keeping us connected with the best information about our results is critical to our success. Data wranglers and data analysis are important roles that you can play in the Cool Davis team. Be the data person for  a campaign task force or coalition working group. Data helps us do good planning and make sure our households have the latest up-to-date information to make change.

Fundraising and Community Relations – Work with members of the Cool Davis board of directors on fundraising, sponsorship and community relations. Reach out to individuals and businesses to build support for Cool Davis events, programs and the One Cool City Campaign.
