Cool Davis brings together individuals and organizations committed to building a resilient community in the face of climate impacts while continuing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in our community. We work with businesses, non-profits, faith groups, community associations, individual citizens, as well as the City of Davis and Yolo County and other strategic partners to foster collaborative efforts toward our shared goals.
PARTNERSHIP CATEGORIES & LEVELS are available to all sorts of organizations!
Business Organization Levels are determined by number of employees. Cool Davis also allows for in-kind goods and services to serve up to 1/4 value for both partnership and sponsorship.
- $250 — Organizations - Single proprietors
- $500 — Organizations <50 employees
- $1000 – Organizations > 50 employees
Nonprofit, Faith-based, Community Organizations & Neighborhood Partner levels are based on annual revenues. Cool Davis has a generous in-kind policy for exchange of goods and services in lieu of $$ for both partnership and sponsorship for small non-profits and community groups.
Levels:
- In-Kind - Small Nonprofits, community groups and neighborhoods with revenues < $25,000
- $100 Nonprofit - Rev < $500,000
- $250 Nonprofit - Rev >$500,000

Cool Davis partners are non-profits, businesses, community groups and institutions at work in Davis, Yolo County or the region that are committed to building community resilience, addressing Climate change and its impacts locally.
Cool Davis partners support the mission of Cool Davis and work together promoting each other’s programs, events and activities.
Partners participate in the Cool Davis Coalition
Partners often mentor each other in greenhouse gas reduction strategies, organize educational forums, advocate on climate issues, or lead events and projects.
- Partner article in the Cool Davis e-newsletter and website with a link to yours. And use of Cool Davis Partner logo
- Mentor & Problem solve around issues, barriers or organizational challenges to reducing green-house gas emissions and resilience in an environment of cooperation, and active support.
- Connect with customers, residents and other organizations that might be interested in your programs, services or products. Link these through the Cool Davis communication networks.
- Host, shape and co-sponsor collaborative events and community education forums. Work with Cool Davis to reinforce your organization’s goals, services and programs .
- Shape Cool Davis goals and activities through the Coalition & Cool Davis Programs & Campaigns.
For new partners this online partnership application and a member of our partner outreach team will contact you. We want to understand how we can help you reach your goals for carbon reduction. If it’s a good fit, you will be welcomed to join! We will send you a link to the Partner Confirmation form where you can sign up and make a Partner contribution.
Then Cool Davis will officially recognize you as a new partner and notifies the Cool Davis Foundation Board of Directors. You will be added to our list of partners online and contacted for a profile article for the Cool Davis website and newsletter. Your organization will be featured on our partners profiles page along with our other partners.
Sponsorship. Cool Davis also offers sponsorship as a separate arrangement for year round programs and specific events. Sponsorship brings the added benefit of high profile publicity to your organization or business and is crucial for enabling Cool Davis programs to flourish at household level. If you can afford to and are interested in sponsorship, check out our Sponsorship options.
Coalition. As a partner, your organization is considered a member of our Cool Davis Coalition. If you’re interested in stepping up and learning more about Coalition activities and leadership, check out the Coalition page.
Working Groups. Cool Davis Working Groups follow their passion with extra support and guidance from Cool Davis. Look into joining an existing group or forming your own on the Coalition page.
Certifications. Businesses or community institutions are encouraged to go further and pursue certifications with Partners for a Greener Davis, a City of Davis program as well as a regional certification offered by BERC (Business Environmental Resource Center).
