National Drive Electric Week (NDEW or “endew” for short), to be held September 25 through October 3 this year, is a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. There are outdoor and virtual EVents planned across the country including Davis, Folsom, Napa, and Placerville. See the listing at bottom for national level events.

The Davis Electric Vehicle Association (DEVA), Cool Davis, SacEV, and the City of Davis invite you to participate in our local NDEW event! We have hosted wildly successful events in the past, including EVs@theMarket, with large in-person gatherings and dealer Ride and Drives. This year we are hosting a simpler event under the Davis Central Park Farmer’s Market Pavilion to include 7 to 15 different owners and their electric vehicles for a Show & Tell style car show for our EV-curious neighbors.

  • What: EVs@thePavilion (NDEW 2021)
  • Date: October 3rd, 2021
  • Time: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Location: Davis Central Park Farmer’s Market Pavilion at 301 C St. Davis CA

The Show & Tell will likely feature the following vehicles (newsflash: updated list below!):

  • VW ID.4
  • Tesla Model Y
  • Volvo XC40 Recharge
  • Tesla Model 3
  • Jaguar I-PACE
  • Chevrolet Bolt
  • Nissan Leaf
  • Hyundai Kona
  • Chevrolet Volt plugin hybrid
  • Kia Niro plugin hybrid
  • Zero DS electric motorcycle
We invite the Davis community to join us to learn about the newest EVs on the market, how far they go, and what our volunteers love most about their cars. Get your questions answered and more at our expert tables where the following topics will be addressed:
  • Charging around town, regionally and long distances
  • Buying a used vehicle
  • Driving on Sunshine: the advantages of EV/PV
  • Finding an EV that’s right for you
  • All about incentives and rebates!

eBikes, too!

The Bike Campaign, a Cool Davis Coalition partner, will also be bringing to the event 2 to 3 electric bicycles from their collaborators, the “Ride1Up!” company, as well as a “Chat” electric assist trishaw from Holland as part of the campaign’s new Cycling Without Age program.
