The Yolo County Climate Action Commission is Back!

Yolo County is bringing back the Yolo County Climate Action Commission (YCCAC), an advisory body that helps guide local climate action, resilience, and equity initiatives — and community members are invited to get involved.

The Commission’s kickoff meeting will take place Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 3:30–6:00 PM. Following the relaunch, regular meetings will resume this fall on the fourth Tuesday of odd-numbered months from 3:30–6:00 PM.

County officials are currently seeking an Environmental Justice Lead to serve on the Commission. No prior commission experience is required. Organizers encourage anyone with a passion for community, climate action, and equity to apply or share the opportunity with others who may be interested.

The YCCAC plays an important role in advising the County on strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, strengthen climate resilience, and ensure that climate solutions benefit all residents, especially historically underserved communities.

Applications are now open through the Yolo County Advisory Bodies portal.
