DAVIS, Calif. — Electric vehicle enthusiasts gathered June 10th at the Muir Commons Community Center for the latest meeting of the Davis Electric Vehicle Association (DEVA), which featured a presentation on EV travel and a showcase of four electric vehicles, including the Lucid Air, Lucid Gravity, Tesla Cybertruck, and BMW i4.

The meeting brought together EV owners, prospective buyers, and community members interested in learning more about electric transportation and current industry developments.

Guest presenter Fabrizio Saraceni delivered a talk on charging while traveling, remote charging management, and renting electric vehicles. The presentation prompted discussion among attendees about practical strategies for road trips and navigating charging networks away from home. View the meeting recording here!

Earlier in the evening, participants discussed EV industry news and policy updates, including the approaching June 30 expiration of the federal EV charging tax credit (Section 30C). Attendees also exchanged experiences and answered questions from those considering the transition to electric transportation.

The event concluded with an EV show-and-tell session featuring four vehicles: a Lucid Air luxury sedan, a Lucid Gravity SUV, a Tesla Cybertruck, and a BMW i4. Attendees had the opportunity to examine the vehicles up close and speak directly with owners about performance, charging, range, and day-to-day ownership.

DEVA holds regular community meetings to provide education, discussion, and peer-to-peer support for current and future EV drivers in the Davis area.

The association’s next meeting is scheduled for August 13th.

We hope to see you there!
