The New Year brings more Planet Friendly Food Fun with Cool Cuisine!

Cool Cuisine got off to a new start with its 2nd Tuesday events in January. Check the website for the full schedule! If you missed January you can still sign up to participate in February and March!

More FUN! Planet Friendly PotLucks

In the Cool Davis Coalition meeting this week we were discussing how we need opportunities for community to just gather and have fun, and also to learn and figure out ways to get things done in this climate and community.

Cool Davis and Cool Cuisine are interested in sponsoring supporting more community potlucks this year. Cool Davis has community zero waste kits for plates and utensils and table cloths to contribute.  We are looking for partners where we can meet at neighborhood level. We are looking for groups who want to partner with a location that is low cost or free. It is helpful to have a kitchen and be comfortable for seating 20-40 people…or more.

Last year we held one at Village Homes and Cool Davis has been moving its events around to other neighborhood locations as well.  Like the Food Coop, Muir Commons, Wildhorse Golf Club and local faith community locations etc…

Please let Cool Cuisine (coolcuisinedavis@gmail.com ) know if your organization would like to host! We are hoping to get a few more events scheduled over the next several months!

Vegan Davis Mac Down competition, hosted by Vegan Outreach.

This fun, community-centered event will feature about 8 local chefs competing to create the best vegan mac & cheese, as judged by the audience!
