Big Day of Giving is one of the biggest fundraising events of the year. It’s also a time to celebrate our partnerships and collaboration with other non-profits in our region.  We hope you’ll go all out to support Cool Davis, our programs, Coalition activities, working groups, and key partners.

The Big Day of Giving lasts 24 hours from the early hours of May 2 through midnight! We hope you will join us May 2 for some special conversations!

• 8am to 9am Morning Coffee Zoom discussion with Cool Davis Board members and special guests SIGN UP
  

• 5pm to 6 pm Afternoon Happy Hour Zoom discussion regarding local and regional plans for climate action SIGN UP

• Circle of Bees (now Ecological Communities Organization) is holding an official fundraiser on Big Day of Giving, May 2nd this year. They will be offering five hopefully delicious sparkling meads (many thanks to our lovely friends at The Hive in Woodland for five honey varietals) for tasting at Dunloe Brewery on Olive Drive in Davis from 4pm to 8pm. DROP BY AFTER THE ONLINE HAPPY HOUR!

Share your commitment and joy with all those in your community working every day on climate action! Be one of 250 plus donors to help us reach our goal! Buddy up and stand together with us on climate!

• Join those who have shared their stories of transition and hope as people transform their homes, their lives and their neighborhoods.
• Make a donation for Big Day of Giving

These new resources will help us:

• Expand of our Make a Plan for Your Clean Energy Home, and our Ride Cool programs in neighborhoods in our community and  beyond
• Train new volunteer teams working with households in multifamily apartments and neighborhoods
• Strengthen our collaboration with other organizations to engage and take action in our community and region
• Respond to increasing requests for help as we all deal with emerging climate impacts

Your donation will:

• Help connect people to Cool Solution resources
• Help build youth, volunteer, neighborhood,  and community climate leadership
• Help support a workshop, online forum, or film screening
• Help support staff to run programs and manage volunteers and organize action

Cool Davis has set a goal of $40,000 this year for Big Day of Giving. Every year Cool Davis and over 700 non-profit organizations region-wide participate in the Big Day of Giving, hoping to raise funds from generous community members. Anyone — friends, family, neighbors, organizations, and businesses – can donate starting Thursday, April 18 through midnight May 2, 2024, to support the work of Cool Davis in the community.
