The photo below, used for our Green Finances category on our pledge webpage, was posted before the tragic death and murder of David Henry Breaux on April 27, 2023.  The photo was taken at the People’s Climate March in New York City in 2014, and also includes Kristin Stone King, a long time friend of David’s, Kristin Heinemeier, a Cool Davis Board Member, and Kristin Heinemeier’s son, Peter Holderbein. While David was not associated with Cool Davis, his tireless work promoting compassion within the community was certainly aligned in spirit with Cool Davis’s work of engaging with the Davis community.  That he was in New York for the march speaks volumes about his understanding of the way that compassion connects us all, all around the world, in care for current and future inhabitants of this planet. Rest in peace, David!
