Earth Day is here, this year’s theme is “Our Power, Our Planet”! Celebrate the Earth and welcome the spring season by getting involved in local events! Check out the Earthday.org event map for even more events!
For 55 years, Earth Day has led the world in raising awareness and taking action on critically important environmental issues. We advocate for the health of the planet, for our air, oceans, soil, eco-systems, wildlife, and human health.
On April 22nd, 2025, Earth Day will turn 55, with 192 countries and over one billion people around the globe expected to participate. This demonstrates how the diverse Earth Day movement remains as dedicated today as it was back in 1970 to bringing everyone together for a better future. — Read more here.

California Ocean Day

Join us at the state Capitol in Sacramento on May 6th, 2025 for California Ocean Day!
California Ocean Day started in 2005 with a group of beach-goers, environmentalists, and ocean advocates knocking on every door in the California Capitol to talk about protecting the ocean. Every year, we have teamed up with more and more ocean-loving folks to share information on opportunities and challenges concerning our beloved marine environments.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of California Ocean Day. We’re bringing together Californians from across the state to stand up for our ocean.
You will learn about current challenges facing our marine ecosystems, connect with fellow ocean advocates, and engage in discussions with legislators about ocean conservation. Your presence will help demonstrate strong public support and show our decision-makers that Californians care deeply about protecting our beautiful ocean.
