Greetings Cool Davis Community,

As winter approaches, the Cool Davis board and staff hope that your family and neighborhood are healthy, and that you have found some stability in these economically challenging times.

For over 12 years, through your generosity and support, Cool Davis has led the way on climate action, providing practical and impactful emissions-reducing resources and tools to residents. Over the last year, we have invested in reassessing our mission, vision, collaborations, and programming. We continue to develop partnerships with local businesses and other non-profits, and we are thrilled to welcome so many new volunteers. Our recent EVs@thePavilion event drew 350 participants and 55 volunteers! It was the most varied and extensive collection of electric vehicles we’ve ever seen.

Our electric vehicle, home energy, and household engagement campaigns continue to evolve in response to the climate emergency, providing robust resources and meaningful education to our communities … but we need your help to continue that same level of engagement and to expand our reach to more families and communities.

Internationally and nationally, floods have displaced millions. Here at home, we are seeing increased average temperatures, ongoing drought, and more intense heat waves. We need to continue to work together to reverse the damaging course we’re on.

Last year’s appeal focused on hope and the need for us all to cultivate it in our lives and actions. This year, we’re asking everyone to continue to focus on reducing emissions and to connect on a deeper level, building resilient neighborhoods together. Cool Davis and our partners are here to help you with resources and information to fuel this transition.

Goals and giving

This year we have a preliminary end-of-year goal of $20,000 supported by a matching fund of $10,000.

Please consider making a one-time donation today, on Giving Tuesday, November 29th, or any time up to December 31st to help us meet this goal. Better yet, set up a recurring gift or donate your older car when you purchase an electric vehicle. Including Cool Davis in your estate plan is another super effective way to make a big difference and leave a legacy of hope.
