Cartober Is Coming! Donate Your Old Gas Guzzling Clunker to Cool Davis
Much like Giving Tuesday, Cartober is an online giving campaign held throughout the month of October to highlight the impact vehicle donations can make. Cartober encourages people to drive change by donating their unwanted car, truck, RV, motorcycle, or boat to their favorite nonprofit or public media station. In the upcoming weeks, you’ll be seeing more information from the Cartober.com program!
You can get started now by…
- Learning more about electric vehicles at the Cool Davis and Davis Electric Vehicle Assocation yearly National Drive Electric Week event (see our News section)
- Making a plan to purchase an electric vehicle to replace your donated car
- Following CARS on social media to stay up to date with all things Cartober
- Keeping an eye on your inbox for more information

CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services)
CARS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps thousands of nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and Canada increase their fundraising and acquire new contributors through turn-key vehicle and real estate donation programs. Since 2003, CARS has returned more than $300 million to our partners.
CARS History
Founded in San Diego, CA in 2003 as a means to provide additional funding to the programs and services of Jewish Family Service, CARS soon began accepting vehicle donations to help other nonprofits raise extra revenue. What began as a company of just a few employees accepting around three vehicle donations per day, has grown into a well-respected leader in the car donation industry. CARS’ success to date stems from our dedication to exceptional customer service, our ability to maximize each donation, and the extensive marketing content we create and distribute to our partners to help promote their programs.
