Arbor Day 2020 in Davis
THIS EVENT IS SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT – TO BE DETERMINED
Tree Davis and the City of Davis Urban Forestry Division would like to cordially invite you to our annual Arbor Day celebration. We would be honored if you would join us Saturday, April 25th from 10am to 1pm at Central Park in Davis. In addition to tree-themed arts and crafts and (safe) tree climbing, this year’s celebration will feature an expanded information fair with not only tree related organizations but a whole range of sustainability organizations including Cool Davis.
Last year’s celebration was a great success and we look forward to bringing our community together to celebrate our local urban trees, natural resources, and the environment!
This year, we are having our celebration near national Arbor Day (and Earth Day!) instead of California Arbor Week because our events have rained out for the last couple of years.
Organizations or agencies with a tree or sustainability related mission should contact Tree Davis Executive Director, Erin Donley Marineau at erin@treedavis.org to inquire about reserving a space for tabling and sharing information with participants.
Check back here for a updated list of attending organizations.
Tree Davis leads tree plantings year round. The next one is scheduled for California Arbor Day, March 14, when teams of volunteers will plant trees throughout Davis! Volunteers should sign up at www.treedavis.org/volunteer then meet at the Veteran’s Memorial Building, 203 E 14th St, Davis, at 9am. You must wear close-toed shoes and bring your own water. Hats, sunscreen, and other protective clothing are strongly recommended.
Tree Davis is dedicated to keeping our community green, clean and cool by enhancing and expanding our urban forest. Our dedicated volunteers have been planting, monitoring, and caring for trees in the Davis area since 1992. Click the links to learn more about our Mission and History. We invite you to learn more about our programs and the benefits of community trees. We hope you will consider joining us as a member with a donation or volunteering!
