The Davis Chapter of the United Nations Association of the United States (UNA-USA) and International House Davis are delighted to celebrate UN Day 2019 with featured keynote speaker Troy Wolfe who will address this year’s theme of “Our Planet. Our Future.”

Mr. Wolfe is Senior Director of Education Programs & Learning at the United Nations Foundation. In this role, he creates educational programs that raise awareness about the UN sustainable development goals while engaging in calls for advocacy. In addition to Mr. Wolfe, speakers for the day include Jolynn Shoemaker from UC Davis Global Affairs who will remark on UC Davis’ participation in the Sustainable Development Solutions Network.

Chris Granger and Lynne Nittler from Cool Davis will discuss local efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adapt to a changing climate, and implement the City of Davis Climate Action and Adaptation Plan.
