Gift Ideas List:  Give Green, Shop local.  Grow our economy.  Shrink our carbon footprint.  Members of the Davis Climate Action Team, concerned citizens and Cool Davis created a list of suggestions for a greener holiday celebration. Get two for one this holiday season. Give a gift to your loved ones that’s also a gift to the planet.

Hints for adults:  Look for gifts that help your loved ones reduce their carbon footprints, such as smart power strips for their entertainment/computer centers, LED light bulbs, a solar cooker, bicycle panniers, a basket of green cleaning supplies, something from Farmers Market, or a local experience.

 

Hints for kids:  Give kids a personalized lunch box or insulated bag with reusable food containers and a stainless steel water bottle or thermos, a climb at Rocknasium, a class at Explorit, or an I-phone solar charger.
