We invite you to join us in an Interfaith Climate March to support the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Paris and California’s groundbreaking efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The march will take place from 11 am to 4 pm on November 1, 2015. We will gather at 11 am on the West Steps of the Capitol in Sacramento (near the corner of L St. and 10th St.), walk to the confluence of the Sacramento and American Rivers, and back to the West Steps of the Capitol.

On November 30, 2015, the world’s leaders will gather in Paris at the U.N. Climate Change Conference with the objective of forging a binding international agreement to address climate change. At the same time, California is proceeding with its groundbreaking program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and is planning even more innovative actions in the future.

We want our leaders to know that we want them to take vigorous and effective actions to address the climate crisis.

The Interfaith Climate March is being organized by the Sacramento & Sierra Nevada Buddhist Climate Action Network  and is open to everyone who cares about the changing climate. We are specifically inviting members of all religious traditions to participate, because we would like to raise public awareness that climate change is an important moral issue of great concern to many faith traditions.

We would appreciate hearing from you, because we would really like to know if you are interested in participating in this event. You can let us know here .  If you would like additional information, you could also call us at one of the phone numbers listed below. Please feel free to share this invitation with any friends or organizations that might be interested.

We hope to see you in Sacramento on November 1st !
