Do you like fun creative events with good information, great food and awesome entertainment?  Whether you like to help plan or just help out at events, consider joining the Cool Davis events team.  Right now in the works is the Cool Davis Festival.

This flagship festival will be held on Saturday, October 12th adjacent to the Farmers Market.  The Festival features Cool Solutions for households to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions  in their homes, transportation and the goods and services they consume.

Last year over 70 exhibits and 20 performances were featured.  Electric vehicles assemble for our Plug-In Electric Vehicle show and our Bike Rodeo/Bike Circus activities are great fun for all the family.  Contact festival coordinators directly at festival@cooldavis.org .

Share your Creativity — Calling all musicians, poets, actors, visual artists, sewers & cooks!  Climate change and green-house gas reduction can be scary and technical, so Cool Davis is committed to practicing a philosophy of fun.  We believe the actions we take together will make our community happier, healthier and more cohesive. Creative and fun activities and events help everyone get beyond the bad news to the best parts of making change.  Sign up to be on the list of a Cool Davis Creative Fun Team.  Consider becoming the Cool Davis Creative Fun coordinator who helps keep the fun in everything we do!  info@cooldavis.org

• Be the expert at “Meet the Expert” at one of our tabling events at Farmers Market or other locations

• Speak, present or demonstrate at a Cool Davis educational event, Cool Davis Festival or Cool Home Workshop Communications

Our communications team is made up of writers, webmasters, social media specialists, media relations, content managers and many others who all give a little of their precious time to Cool Davis.  We are always looking for additional members.  Our team is in need of a few good leaders able to commit to assigning stories, tracking content and helping implement a cohesive communications plan for the Cool Davis “One Cool City Campaign”.  newseditor@cooldavis.org

Help with Data Input and Management – We are on the path to carbon neutrality by 2050 and we are measuring what we are doing.  Whether its donors, volunteer contacts, household actions or organizations who are our partners — keeping us connected with the best information about our results is critical to our success.  Data wranglers and data analysis are important roles that you can play in the Cool Davis team.  Provide data management/list support for specific events and activities like Festival or Cool Homes. Data helps us do good planning, be effective in our work and make sure our households have the latest up-to-date information to make change. info@cooldavis.org

Volunteer support and management – Do you care about the care and shepherding of volunteers?  Help Cool Davis by supporting and guiding volunteers and interns in finding their place to thrive in the work of Cool Davis.  We need people with good people-to-people skills, an interest in training and helping volunteers to find fulfilling work with Cool Davis. info@cooldavis.org

Fundraising, sponsorship and community relations – work with members of the Cool Davis board of directors on fundraising, sponsorship and community relations.  Reach out to individuals and businesses to build support for Cool Davis events, programs and the One Cool City Campaign. info@cooldavis.org
