MAK Design Build joins Cool Davis
MAK Design Build joined the Cool Davis Initiative Partners Coalition in April. Ellen Moriarty, Owner and Bookkeeper says, “MAK strives to design homes with maximum utility and durability and a reasonable footprint – not just adding space but adding quality through better lighting, openings, rooms, and storage.”
They research the sources of materials, local products, and durable materials and encourage their customers to use greener products. The cabinet company they work with from Portland is environmentally responsible with no VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and a high standard for waste reduction.
Ellen notes that MAC was awarded the City of Davis 2008 Environmental Recognition Award in the “Business” category and a 2010 Judge’s Choice Award from the Sacramento Branch of NARI, the National Association of Remodeling Industry for a remodel with high quality products and great relationships.
