Looking to align your money with your values? Cool Davis is hosting two online “Green Your Finances” forums this winter, the first focusing on banking and credit cards, Wednesday, November 15 at 6pm PST online, as part of the Yolo Earth Day Pledge Challenge. Cathy Becker, Responsible Finance Campaign Director at Green America, a non-profit that has been at the forefront of socially responsible investing for over 40 years, will present on “Aligning Your Money with Your Values,” highlighting the problem, solutions, better banks and credit cards, and future directions. The presentation will be followed by a discussion between Cathy and our moderator, Cool Davis Board member, Rekha Vaitla, Investment Officer for Sustainable Investment and Stewardship Strategies at CalSTRS. Participants will have a chance to ask questions of both Cathy and Rekha and will receive a link to the video of the forum afterwards. Everyone is welcome!

This is a FREE event open to all Yolo County residents!

This event is hosted by Cool Davis in support of the Yolo Earth Day Pledge and pledgers who chose any action in the "Green Finances" category (everyone!) but in particular these three:

• Learn about greening your finances and why it’s important
• Move your money to an ethical and fossil-free bank or credit union
• Open a credit card with an ethical institution and select an organization to support.

The pledge is designed to encourage community members, both individuals and households, to complete at least six specific greenhouse gas reducing or resilience building actions. Cool Davis identifies high impact actions and ways to achieve them; you get busy building new habits, sharing your story, and learning from friends, family, and neighbors.
