Standing at the cliff edge of climate chaos…Where do we find the courage and the hope?

The Yolo Interfaith Alliance for Climate Justice invites people of faith and the public to the third annual Interfaith Climate Conference to hear author and philosopher Kathleen Dean Moore speak on our imperiled planet and our obligation to protect it.

The conference will be held Saturday, March 7th from 9:30 a.m.–3:15 p.m. at the University Covenant Church (315 Mace Blvd. in Davis). Lunch is included.   Donations are appreciated.  Register Now!

Standing at the cliff edge of climate chaos, our work is to find a new path toward a radically re-imagined understanding of who we are in the world and how we ought to live. What new narratives point the way? What blocks the path? Where do we find the courage and the hope? How will we make ourselves worthy of the dreams of our descendants?

Environmental advocate, nature author and moral philosopher Kathleen Dean Moore will speak on Moral Ground: Ethical Action for a Planet in Peril as she explores the questions above, and guides us to meaningful action. Explore a biography, recent books, and video links for this inspiring climate speaker.

The keynote address will be followed by an Intergenerational Panel: Visions of Effective Climate Action with questions and answers from the audience. Four panelists will present how they view the climate crisis and explain their ideas for effective climate action, especially in our community and region. For more, check the conference program.

After a vegetarian lunch, the afternoon features two sessions of workshop choices focused on specific climate actions from making net zero living easy to an interfaith Meatless Monday proposal. Youth can attend their own special track.

The Interfaith Conference is sponsored by the Yolo Interfaith Alliance for Climate Justice.
