Climate Movie Circle May 2023

The Climate Movie Circle is proud to present our May film selection, "Landfall,” for an in-person screening and discussion, Sunday, May 14th from 1:30pm to 4:00pm at the Blanchard Room of the Yolo County Library Mary L Stephens Davis Branch at 315 E. 14th Street in Davis.

"Landfall" examines a ruined world at the brink of transformation, spinning cautionary tales for our times, through shard-like glimpses of everyday life in post-Hurricane Maria Puerto Rico. "Landfall” reflects on a question of contemporary global relevance: when the world falls apart, who do we become?

Volunteers will be collecting "Why I'm pledging" videos for the Earth Day Pledge Challenge at the screening as well! You will be among the first to have the opportunity to make your pledge to reduce carbon pollution and build resilience throughout the coming year to Earth Day 2024.

We’re looking forward to the movie, conversation, and pledging to make a difference!
