EVs@theMarket is back for the second year in a row! Market-goers can earn local gift certificates for test driving an electric vehicle with local dealers on site, including Hanlees Nissan and Chevy, University Honda, NIello BMW, and  possibly Tesla. Come learn about rebates and incentives.

Test Drive Electric Vehicles at Davis Farmers Market

National Drive Electric Week is back! To celebrate, Cool Davis and DEVA are partnering with SacEV (and many more) to host the second annual EVs@theMarket event adjacent to the Davis Farmers Market. Take a slight detour from your normal market route, and find out what driving electric is all about! (Check us out first, then bag your groceries later.)

When: Saturday, September 15, 2018, 9am to 1pm

Where: 4th Street between C & D Streets (just east of Farmer’s Market)

Test drivers will earn gift certificates and will need to bring their driver's licenses. Workshops for the EV curious, ebike meetups and test drives, and more are purring at the starting line!

Buying or Leasing an Electric Vehicle? Get Money Back!

If you’re thinking about buying an electric vehicle (EV), don’t look at that sticker price just yet. Check out tax breaks and rebates first to capitalize on a sweet bit of cash back on your purchase (with some for leases, too).

There are three main financial incentives plus a fourth for UC Davis folks: federal, California state, and PG&E.

Tarah Brady: In her 4th year as a Community Regional Development student at UC Davis, on the Environmental Policy and Regional Planning track, Tarah Brady has been assisting with energy projects as an intern with Cool Davis for nearly two years, and recruiting more interns along the way.

Emily Estrada: Emily is a fourth year undergraduate student at UC Davis in Cultural Anthropology.

Sim Bun: Sim is a fourth year undergraduate student at UC Davis in the Public and Urban Policy program.
