Business Composting Project 
Local businesses can play a positive role in the fight against climate change
Cool Davis has been supporting local businesses who have pushed for a city-wide food scrap collection. In early 2011, the City of Davis Recycling Program and Davis Waste Removal (DWR) agreed a food scrap collection pilot program in order to determine the feasibility of a larger commercial program.
The pilot program will begin in May 2011 and end on December 31, 2011, after which the City and DWR will assess whether or not to continue the effort.
