On September 15th, Fridays For Future groups will be striking all over the world to demand a fossil free future, and Davis is no different! Starting at 12pm noon, Fridays For Future Davis will lead a march starting at the front of the Veterans Memorial Center (intersection of W. 14th St and B St) to Central Park Davis (5th St and B St).

In light of the catastrophic fires in Maui, climate action is as crucial as ever. As Californians, we know all too well the effects of rising temperatures and the raging fires that go with it. Help demand that Governor Newsom and our state lead the way by ending the use of fossil fuels. We can all play an important role in ending climate change, stand up now!

Some background offered by the Davis Enterprise.

A message from one of the local organizers: Hi there! This is Kai from Fridays For Future Davis. Please join us for the Global Climate Strike happening at noon on the 15th of September. Our student-led Fridays for Future event starts with a walk from the Veterans Memorial (14th and B) and continues to Central Park. At Central park we will have an opportunity for speakers and a petition to ask Governor Newsom to end the issuance of fossil fuel permits in California.  We wish you well and know that we are in communion with you about the care of our home, planet earth.
