I attended the June 14 workshop on the CCA. What is the “work plan” for getting that instituted in our town and/or county? I would like to work on that.
Elizabeth – Thanks for your inquiry about participating in the future discussions about a Community Choice Energy (CCE) option for the City of Davis. Subsequent to the forum we held last month, the Natural Resources Commission sent the matter to the Council requesting funding for an initial study. The City Manager has commissioned a study to look not only at a CCE but also the possibility of a Municipal Utility. That report is expected to be back before the Natural Resources Commission in September for our review and then forwarded to the City Council for comment.
To become more involved in an ongoing basis, the best thing is to probably attend the NRC meeting when it is agendized to receive and discuss the report. You can check out the NRC’s planned upcoming agendas at anytime (if they are yet posted) by clicking on http://cityofdavis.org/meetings/agenda.cfm?c=9.
