Existing climate advocacy groups (350.org, , Citizens Climate Lobby and others ) as well as interested individuals are invited to the next  meeting of the newly formed Davis Climate Advocacy Alliance.  Members will meet together on a regular or occasional basis to share what each is doing, coordinate climate actions and amplify our effectiveness through improved communications and cooperation.

The next meeting will be at Tuesday, July 9, from 4:30-6:00 p.m.in the Stephens Davis Branch Library (315 E 14th St.)

One item is already on our agenda. 350 Sacramento is planning a March on July 11 from noon to 1:00 p.m.. We need marchers in black hats or carrying black umbrellas to join marchers on the north steps of the capitol.

Plans so far:  We are developing a website where we can post events from various climate groups to make participation and scheduling easier, plus we can have a location to look for carpool possibilities.  The list serv will allow folks to subscribe to receive action alerts and notices.   Potentially, the active climate organizations may opt to share a Farmers Market table or put together a resource page on the website, or co-sponsor events.

Spread the word:  If you know of other climate advocacy groups or related environmental groups or activist individuals who should be invited, please forward this email!
